<p>Hi. So, I just have a couple questions about the application and admissions process at Harvard and other schools. I go to an unknown school that doesn't have honors classes (so before I take AP Chemistry, I'm taking CP Chemistry, since there is no Honors). Also, the number of AP classes and when I can take them is limited. For example, we are not allowed to take AP classes freshman or sophomore year. When looking at an applicant that goes to school like I do, how do admissions officers determine that he/she is not taking Honors or "challenging" classes because he/she can't. In the long run, does this fact hurt my chances of getting into Ivy League schools? Thank you for your response in advance!</p>

<p>Your counselor will submit a school profile along with your transcript, etc. This profile includes information about your school’s curriculum and course offerings so that the admissions people know what they’re dealing with. The profile will state what AP’s and honors are offered, and what the policy is regarding taking those courses. I go to a similar school regarding restricted AP’s and no honors in several subjects. It’s really not a big deal.</p>
