<p>Hey all,
I'm a high school freshman living in California and I just needed some advice on what I would need to do to get into Hopkins or really any other beneficial college. Please feel free to leave any suggestions for: Colleges, extra-curriculars, hooks, etc. I want to become Neuro/Plastic Surgeon, but want to become a nurse first. Below are my current stats:</p>
<p>Class Rank: *47/574
GPA W: 4.0
GPA UW: 3.83
*Previously #9 but screwed around 2nd quarter in geometry :(</p>
<p>Class Schedule:
-Biology (No freshmen allowed in honors at school)
-Journalism I-IV
-Spanish 2
-Geometry
-PE 9(Switching out to track)
-Honors English 9</p>
<p>Clubs:
-GenerationOn(Service club): Officer Position
-Associated Student Body: Cabinet Member
-Anti-Bullying Club: Regular Member
-Journalism Club: Front-page editor
-Future Business Leaders of America: Regular Member</p>
<p>Activities:
-Freelance writer for local newspaper
-Attended summer writing workshop since the 3rd grade and been paid as assistant since the 7th grade
-Track & Field
-8th grade volunteer teacher's aide in Catechism after school (20+ hours)
-Takes college credit/enrichment classes over summer; Psych 101(A), Biology 101(A+)</p>
<p>Summer 2013 Possible Plans:
-Take enrichment/college credit classes; Developmental Psych, Chemistry
-Get a job at the mall
-Possibly intern at Stanford (trying to find program, but it's hard because most are for low-income or upperclassmen)
-Volunteer at local spots
-Possibly learn sign language </p>
