College GPA is much more important than HS GPA. However, HS GPA still carries a decent amount of weight.

Say I have been in college for only 1 semester, would college gpa still carry much more weight?

No, as a soph transfer applicant, your HS record (gpa & rigor of coursework) and test scores will be weighted more heavily than what you’ve done in college.

Sorry to change this question, but what about non-ivy league schools (such as SUNY’s)? Would the HS gpa still carry more weight than the gpa of one semester in college?

yes please answer this!
