please can any one help me find a comparison between high school lesson plan for 9th grade to 12th grade between USA school and Indian school.

It depends on your subjects, your board, your state.

CBSE 10th grade, New Delhi

This is "college"confidential and NOT "highschool"confidential. :]

I am less familiar with the Indian Secondary system but I do know what a good lesson plan in the States should look like. Generally, you are looking at 4 years of Math, 3 years of science (Bio, Chem, Physics, Stat, Geo, etc.) with two being lab, 4 years of literature, 3-4 years of a foreign language, and 2 years of history (for American students, one is preferred to be American history). Art classes are also encouraged. It is hard to not fulfill these basic requirements in any curriculum, what matters more to American colleges is that you have challenged yourself by taking difficult classes and that you have done well in them. Colleges also like to see that you pursue an interest or a passion in your academics (this is reinforced by your extracurriculars), not just take what you think will look best on your transcript (if you like dance, take a dance class and not “Advanced Astrophysics and Introduction to String Theory”)

Dude, unless you can change schools, or switch to the american system, it’s useless trying to compare. Pick a stream that feels right for you, because as far as I know american college weigh commerce, science and humanities equally, because the choice SHOULD be made according to a student’s interests. If you’re in a school like Vasant Valley or whatever, though, that allows you to pick a variety of cross subjects, choose six subjects, and choose and interesting and reasonably tough courseload (i.e don’t make your subjects’ list like psycho, socio, phys ed etc).

Are you from DPS? /compulsion to ask every new-delhi-ite here that.
