High School-Medical HELP!

Hello everyone,

Im here, like everyone else, to ask some questions. I am a high school student in my final year in Canada, and passing with extremely high marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and in Calculus. I need to get some things clarified. I wish to complete my medical education within 6-7 years. I do not want to do medicine in canada because it requires all students do a degree and den go inot medical college. I am wondering what are the necessary procedures that i must follow to get into one of the colleges. Are there any universities or colleges that will take me into thier institution directly from high school, if so can i get a list of the univeristies/colleges. I also would like to mention that i am looking to obtain a MD/BS degree by the time i complete my studies. I am so confused and the time to apply is getting closer and closer. PLEASE I NEED SOME HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as i know, you cannot go from high school straight on to medical school. However, you can get into a combined BA/MD program at certain universities that willl usually take from 6-8 years to complete. I do not have a list of schools that offer this, but i'm sure somebody that does will come along.

There's an entire forum for joint degrees. Know that they are very competitive, and that most of them take 8 years anyway.
