High School Schedules for Next Year!

My schedule is for ninth grade:
9 Honors Lit
AP Human Geography (heard this was a waste of time :P)
Honors Physics
Accelerated Analytic Geometry B/ Adv. Algebra (Basically rest of Geometry, then Algebra 2)
Band
There will also be others so yea.
My other question is about acceleration in math. What's your accelerated track? I did sixth and half of seventh grade math in sixth, then rest of seventh and all of eight in seventh grade then all of Algebra I in eight (currently) and half of Geometry. If I keep this track up, I guess I'll be taking pre calculus in 10th grade!

Going to be a Junior

Freshman Schedule
English Honors
Spanish 1
World History Honors
Biology
Algebra 2/Trig Honors
General PE

Sophomore Schedule (Current)
English Honors
Spanish 2
AP European History
Chemistry
Pre Calculus Honors
Digital Photography

My to be Junior Schedule (I don’t see me changing my mind on any classes, I’m pretty sure about my schedule)
AP English Composition
Spanish 3
AP US History
Physics
AP Calculus
Weight Training

And for math, I took 6th grade math in 6th grade because that was Elementary School where I live, I never took Pre-Algebra and was put into Algebra 1 in 7th grade, Took Geometry in 8th Grade, Algebra 2/Trig Honors in 9th, Honors Pre Calculus currently in 10th, AP Calculus (AB) in 11th, and either AP Calculus (BC) in 12th or AP Statistics, I haven’t decided that yet. BC isn’t actually a class at my school, it’s a independent study set up with the teacher, but it shows up to colleges as a class because he tracks your progress and if you do poorly on the AP Test he will change your grade down and you may get your admissions to colleges changed if he brings you down.

Was algebra hard since you didn’t take pre algebra? I just got finished with the units on Algebra I and it was actually really easy. And your schedule will probably be my schedule so I guess that’s good :)

I struggled in Algebra 1, I actually barely passed it, but I was also lazy in middle school so that might have been part of it. I got an A in Algebra 2/Trig Honors though because I started trying harder, and I got a B in my first Semester in Honors Pre Calculus, but I doubt your school could possibly have as hard of a Pre Calc/Calc teacher as mine, because my teacher is by far the toughest teacher at our school, he also teaches AP Calculus and he makes the class so ridiculously hard that people who get D’s in the class almost always wind up with a 5 on the AP Exam. So I think you will be fine as long as you are good at math. Given you put forward the effort and hopefully you don’t have a Pre Calc/Calc teacher that is as hard as mine.

I’m a current senior, so I guess I can’t really participate in these things anymore, but the “standard” accelerated math track at my high school is Plane Geometry Honors, Algebra II Honors, Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus Honors, Calculus. They don’t have honors calculus or even AP Calculus AB. They just got AP Stats this year and I’m not sure what kind of people are taking it.

I’ll be a senior next year, 6 classes, 5 APs with one hour being an elective hour, two one semester electives.

AP English
AP Stats
AP US Government & Politics
AP Euro
AP Psych
1 semester of Film Analysis then for the other semester I’ll have a history elective either on postwar America or The Gilded Age

Screw having a foreign language for more than two years, taking calc, or having science all 4 years. I take what I am interested in, and I believe some colleges will appreciate that.

I’m going to be a junior:

AP Calc
AP English
AP Chem
APUSH
Spanish 3
Cross Country

I took regular 6th grade math, algebra 1 in 7th, geometry in 8th, Algebra 2 in 9th & H. Pre-calc in 10th (now)

9 Honors Lit–easy
AP Human Geography (heard this was a waste of time :P)–easy but it’s great that you’re taking an AP that young
Honors Physics–mid level, pretty much just plugging #s in formulas though
Accelerated Analytic Geometry B/ Adv. Algebra (Basically rest of Geometry, then Algebra 2)–good track
Band–good GPA boost
the typical honors track at my school is H geom–>H alg 2–>H precalc–> AP calc AB but there are some people who manage to take AP calc before even starting highschool…

Going to be a senior next year (wow time really flies by)

Multivar/Linear (semester courses)
AP English Literature
AP US Gov
APCS
Geosystem Honors (required)
Neuroscience Research
Intro to Organic Chem (sem)
Russian 5 (sem)

typical math track around here is Alg2/Trig -> Precalc -> Calc AB/BC (more AB people nowadays) -> BC/Stat/Multi+Linear

Grade 10
Honors US History I
Honors English II
Honors Chemistry
AP Bio
Honors Pre-Calc
Spanish II

Going to be a senior next year. It’s crazy how time just blows by.

Discrete Math/Prob of Stats (semester courses)
AP Lang
French 1
AP Psych
Environmental Science

Thanks JavaBuddy for the input! I heard most schools don’t even allow APs in Freshmen year and AP Human Geo is the only AP they are offering. I took the most rigorous track I could with me being 1.5 years ahead of the other kids in my class in math. I moved from another school and these kid’s track for high school math is
9th) Alg 1
10th) Geometry
11th) Alg 2
12th) Pre-calculus
Compared to everyone on here, this is really slow! Glad I am going to be two years ahead!

I’m gonna be a sophomore and my schedule is-

AP Macro Econ, PE/Health, Honors English, Honors Pre-Calculus AP Bio/AP Chem, Spanish II, and a study hall

Going to be a junior next year. Going for the IB Diploma.

1 trimester of Band/ 2 trimesters of ToK
French 3
IB English HL Yr. 1
IB History of the Americas
IB Math SL Yr. 2
IB Biology HL Yr. 1

And for the accelerated math:
7th grade: Algebra 1 w/ Stats
8th grade: Geometry w/ Trig
9: (IB Prep) Algebra 2 w/ Trig
10: Pre-Calc/ IB Math SL Yr. 1
11: IB Math SL Yr. 2/IB Math HL Yr. 1/IB Math Studies
12: IB Math HL Yr. 2/ IB Math Studies/ AP Stats

(Almost) rising senior:

AP English Lit
AP US Government
AP Physics C (Mech)
AP Spanish Lit
DE Multivariable Calculus
(possibly) DE Organic Chem (or DE Mandarin)
FREE PERIOD!!!
… and religion, because that’s a requirement at my school :(

That’s basically all the APs left to take at my school (besides APES, which I super don’t want to do…)

You guys get to take Russian and Mandarin! ._. They only offer Spanish and French at my school.

Hey, have any of you took AP chem or AP Bio? If you did, which one did you think is better? I am going to be sophomore next year and am debating between the two classes.

@tigerman333 AP Bio is considered a lot more difficult than AP Chemistry. It just comes down to what you prefer… what do you want? I even read a thread on here where the person’s class met four hours after school every week and they barely covered all material required for the Exam.

@HelloThereHola Thanks. I want to become an engineer or something related to business. I really am not sure at this point. I do however, have good relations with the AP Bio teacher as he also teaches Honors Bio. Thanks anyways. If anyone else has ideas pls post them.
