High School Sophomore future

Hi all
I’m a high school sophomore, and Smith has been my dream school for about three years now. I know it’s a little early, but I wanted to put myself out there and ask what you thought of my chances, and also what I can do in the coming year to improve them. To keep in mind, I am from Massachusetts, if that changes anything, and I was just accepted to Smith’s summer writing program.

Classes/Grades-
All honors classes (except for electives)
1 AP this year, and I will be taking 3 next year
Registered lifeguard through lifeguarding class
In my school’s “Classical Academy” which is admission based (I go to public school) and has harder classes
I’ve gotten straight A’s with the exception of an 81 in chemistry second term, which I brought back to a 93.
If it helps, my PSAT score was a 1280, out of 1520.

Extracurriculars-
Writing club
Editor for my school’s literary magazine
Student Government elected officer (also elected to student council but could only choose one)
Co-Founder of my school’s first Activism and Social Justice club
Dancer and dance choreographer in “Mary Poppins”
Dancer for 13 years as of now
I have taught dance at my studio for 3 years now
Does registered beekeeper count

Awards-
I won a scholastic gold key for writing, qualified for Scholastic Nationals and have won first in my city’s writing competition two years running
I got into Smith’s summer program (I don’t know if this counts)

I won’t find out my GPA until the end of junior year, but essentially this is an early plea for a “chance me”
any help or advice is appreciated

Smith is a very holistic school for admissions, so it’s almost impossible to “chance.” That being said, if you keep your grades up you do sound like their type. You did not say what you are thinking about majoring in, so check that they do have your interest areas. They are test optional so you don’t have to submit – but if you kill it on the SAT or ACT it seems to help with merit aid. Smith currently gives merit to maybe 20-25% of students, the rest is all need-based FA.
Enjoy their summer program and while you’re there, take a wander over to Mt. Holyoke as well. I am aware of a lot of young women whose choice comes down to those two, and the prices are often very different because Moho has a more liberal merit policy.
