High-school student, hoping for advice

Hey,
First of all, if you're taking the time to read through all this, thanks.
I'm a high school student looking at colleges and eventually medical school, and I'm honestly just kind of lost. Looking up statistics and rankings and everything under the sun haven't really gotten me all that much further. I guess I'm hoping the best thing to do is ask someone for my specific situation, and hope one of you guys has the time to help out.
I have a high-school GPA of about 3.6 unweighted. It went up significantly from freshman to sophomore and especially to junior year, to 6 A's and one B for both semesters junior year. I take a whole lot of difficult AP classes, except none for math.
I didn't even bother with the ACTs because I got 2280 on my SATs.
In terms of extra-curriculars, I have volunteered in medical settings, and later became heavily involved in fire, rescue, and ems which I hope could also be a boon.
I am hoping for some suggested undergraduate institutions that are at a level I could reasonably get in to. It doesn't have to be the best, just perhaps somewhere I could have a good time and a good chance of getting into medical school.
One more thing that has significantly made my search more difficult- if I'm going somewhere, I'd like it to either be coastal or snowy. I hate dry inland areas. Some colleges I have started looking at are calpoly in san luis obispo, UCSD, and mcgill in montreal, but I'm hoping to expand on that list.
Thanks a whole lot

What state/country do you live in?

Pick your college without an eye on medical school – the best overall college you can find (including personal considerations) will almost certainly be the best choice for eventually applying to medical school, too.
