High School Transcript

Greetings, I have a question related to putting down college level/advanced subjects on my transcript. Some of the classes I was taught at home were college level and I used college textbooks.

I wanted to know if I put “college level” beside the subject ( e.g College Algebra 1 (College Level)) would I have any issues with the school’s I apply to. Thanks

If you call them “college level,” they might wonder what college is giving you credit. You can call them honors for sure. If you took a college-credit test, call them honors (with test name)

e.g. Honors Algebra I
Honors Spanish w/ CLEP test
Honors Biology w/ AP test

You cannot call it “AP Biology” unless the course was pre-approved by the college board, but homeschoolers often put “with AP test” after the course title and that seems to be OK.

Your course description is where you would put the textbook and other resources used.

You could possibly call them advanced xxx. Fwiw, your course descriptions should include the texts used and a short description of the courses’ content. That is where AOs will be able to understand the level of work completed.
