High school transcript

Hey!
SO, I think I am totally screwed right now-the reason being because I've been trying to contact my old high school for the past 2 1/2 weeks, and NOBODYY is answering-I bet nobody's there in the summer. I've also sent numerous emails, but nobody's responding. ***!?
And I sent an email to my adcom and even SHE hasn't responded! What am I supposed to do!? I'm worried they're going to revoke me!! (Cal)

they can’t and won’t revoke your admission if it’s not your fault.

No worries Jeremy. You’re good man lol. I still haven’t gotten my transcripts either. Don’t even sweat it. See ya at Cal!

Hahah thx guys, at least I’m not the only one lol.
Yep! I’m sooo excited! (and nervous)

I know this is me being paranoid—but, they haven’t even received ANY of my transcripts as of yet!
I sent them 2 weeks ago and I dunno what to do-I bet you they’re gonna rescind me lol.

haha don’t worry about that either… it takes them SUCH a long time. they probably have them and just didn’t update it online yet. i submitted mine “first class, next day delivery,” and it didn’t even show up for over a month

if u never took a language class in HS or any of those college transferable classes in HS do UC’s still request that you send them over??? im just wondering because i dont wanna go back to my school and stuff…do they gotta send the transcript to the certain UCs that you request them to?? i just dont trust my HS for somereason… but anyways its always 50/50 when i ask this question…some ppl say yes or no

I didn’t use any classes from my high school for the language requirement or anything else. Berkeley still requested I send them in as well as other UC’s I got into.

To Jeremy you might wanna see if you get your transcripts from a main office rather then the individual school. My school district has a main office for transcript request, as the high school you attended doesn’t send transcripts out.

^ ok thanks for the info. is it possible that my HS deleted my transcript in anyway? i transferred to my HS in my senior year and graduated in 09’.sorry just a lil paranoid

^ Nope high schools would never delete transcripts, since they must be kept in case a student needed to request them for any reason.

There is no chance they deleted your transcript (though there’s no guarentee it wasn’t hacked or lost in a flood, these are unlikely). They have to hold onto them, and they’d never even think of getting rid of them after two years because of the number of students that transfer within that time frame. I know in my district, the ones older than 10 or 12 years take longer to pull up (I don’t know if it’s because they were never digitized or because they’re archived somewhere off site), but you can still get copies of them sent.

I think they’re just requesting the transcripts to prove we actually graduated when (and from where - remember the whole ‘residency’ thing) we said we did.

I’m really worried too. I sent my hs transcript (my own, official copy i never used for my cc’s honor’s program) over a month ago and they still haven’t received it

Oh man, same thing happened to me! My admissions officer was pretty blunt about the fact that if they didn’t get in on time, my registration would be blocked. Luckily, after 3 weeks of nothing back from my schools, I frantically asked everyone on the school’s website and found out that the ATHLETIC DIRECTOR was the only person on campus and was doing the transcript sending and other office duties because everyone was off for summer. Go figure. Luckily, it’s been sent.

I had to get my HS transcript from the transcript office, which was separate from my HS. Check to see if your school district office has a transcript office.
