High school

Hi. Does anybody know whether transitioning from a foriegn country to American high school (12th Grade) is difficult?

Yes. You’re joining a school where the people have known each other for YEARS and your classmates will be upperclassmen.

My daughter’s study abroad program said that it’s easier for an American to adjust to a foreign school than vice versa, at least socially.

How about in terms of attaining anove average grades? If i can obtain A’s where i am right now, i’ll be able to do just as well in America right?

Where are you from?

Well im from America, my family moved abroad for a few years. Im doing O Levels (a UK based education system).

I don’t know much about the UK in particular, but you should be fine if you plan on transitioning into regular or honors courses. AP may be a bit too tough, though, depending on your general attitude towards school.
