Transferring from UK to US

Hi I’m new to this forum so please be kind haha (if I do anything that’s out of the ordinary in the forums point it out to me!)

So, I went to an american high school (an international one) and we had GPA’s and such in there and I did pretty poorly. (I’m talking like 3.4~ weighted)

However I got my sh*t together and studied really hard for my IB exams and received my Diploma with a pretty respectable score of 38.

And so I got into a pretty good university in the UK (top 10) however I am still used to the american culture and have a hard time fitting in, into my university and have been thinking about transferring to the US.

I am still in my first year of undergraduate studies and I’m wondering what kind of schools I can get into in the US with the current grades I have.

Also should I wait another year and improve my grades or is the first year a good time to transfer?

Thanks.

You’re not doing anything out of the ordinary except being slightly vague(no biggy, happens to everyone on their first chance me.)

The country is huge, so many choices depending on what you want to study, where you want to live, what you want to do and what can you afford. First and foremost, use CC’s super match tool to get a rough sense of what colleges could be a fit for you. Gather a few of them and list them so we can better help you.

Are you British or an American abroad?
What’s your budget?
Do you have grades in university so far?
