Your ECs leave you with no chance at any of these schools except maybe Berkeley, but it’s still a reach.

Yeah, those ECs are not good. Also, you need outstanding recommendation letters. Are you a junior now? You still have some time to do commit yourself to an EC that you’re actually passionate about. It doesn’t have to be from your school. You could look into community activities as well, or something at a local college.

You really wanna bulk up on EC’s especially since you are competing with other Asians. I hope i don’t come off as rude…but many Asians are very smart and top schools want those who are three dimensional ya’know? I wish you all the luck in the world and start looking for EC’s to do this summer!

You don’t have anything that sets you apart from other applicants. All the admissions officers will see on your application are numbers. So unless you can write a killer essay (and I mean stellar, worthy of winning a pulitzer prize), your chances are very slim, esp. because of your race as well.

Oh, please. You have an excellent stats and average EC. You will do just fine. Those school are reach for everyone. Make sure you apply to some matches and safeties.

Thanks for the chances guys, does anyone have examples of what I could do that is semi=-interesting? I have tried quite a lot of activities but I just really do not like many.

Try AMC for math and maybe get into USAMO. MIT acceptance rate for USAMO qualifiers is about 60% for what I heard.

I guess I will try AMC next year but it won’t matter by then. Thanks to everyone though.
