Should I send the scores that have the highest percentiles as compared with the rest of the population, or those with the highest numerical value? For example, I need to either send Bio-M or Physics. I have a 720 Bio-M = 76 percentile, and 740 Physics = 72 percentile. Even though my physics score is higher, should I send biology because it's a higher percentile, or should I just send physics because it has a higher number?

Of course higher score.

Wait, why not send both biology and physics?

I’d send physics…bio as a test is harder, I’ve heard, but a 740 does look better than a 720, especially since both are sciences.

If I had to send only one, I might actually send biology…typically, the higher percentile looks more impressive (e.g. 800 in physics vs. 800 in math II). But in this case, the scores and percentiles are so close that it’s hard to tell.

These tests have pretty insignificant differences in percentile. You should be fine with sending both. This would really only be an issue if you’d gotten, say, a 740 on Korean and a 720 on Bio.

Okay, thanks everyone. I’m sending my Math II (800), US History (750), and I guess Physics then. I could send others, but the schools I’m applying to only require/recommend 3 at most, and I don’t think they look at the others. If they do though I guess I’ll send both.

both are you crazy theyre both good

I’m not saying they’re bad, but they’re not exactly up to par for my reach schools. Then again, I guess that’s why those schools are reaches ;)

^ true dat. haha I retook my bio 750, and though everyone I asked said not to… no regrets
