It might give you a slight edge – but remember: UNC’s first priority is to their instate residents and all OOS applicants face HUGE odds.

It is 100% false that UNC tends to accept OOS kids who are full pay. It is need blind and plenty of OOS students receive FA. Being Hispanic may help if the rest of your application is competitive - getting in from out of state is difficult. Good luck!
