I am a Cuban-American sophomore at a prestigious Miami prep school. While not certain about where to attend college, Columbia University seems like the highest-calibre school I may have a reasonable chance of attending.

Here are my credentials:

212 PSAT: (800CR 630M 690WR)
GPA Unweighted: 3.7~ GPA Unweighted: 4.89 (my school boosts like crazy)
- 35~ hours of community service
- leadership positions in Yearbook throughout all four years, editor for next two
- accolades within art and english departments
- member of HOBY and regular INTERACT participant
- fairly active in Environmental Club

1AP (US History) 9Honors/Pre-AP
The school does not allow students to take APs before sophomore year, upon which only US History is made available. I will, however, be joining the International Baccalaureate program next year, with planned HLs in Biology, Art, English, and History. SLs will be English and Math. (both roughly equivalent to APs)

I am a native spanish speaker and taking the regional equivalent of a Spanish 4H class, although under a different title due to my track. I could probably apply myself more to my school work too - I don't really focus much on it.

I am raised by a single mother in the low-income bracket.

So, how does it look so far?
