If you were in-state, you’d be a shoo-in, being out-of-state, I still think you have a very good chance, but def. not a guarantee. Nice SATs and GPA, keep up the good work! And if you’re accepted, come to UVA, we need a little more diversity!

Thank you, and I do hope I get accepted! My top choices are UVA and Georgetown, but I have heard that a lot of people from NY end up not liking UVA so I’d like to visit first, although I really do hope that it leaves a good impression.

I just hope I have the fortune of having to choose between such great schools once the application process is over, but UVA is definitely at the top of my list. Is there anything you think I can improve on my resum

Dude…I’m also a a latino from New York, but my SAT’s and extra curriculars are not as strong as yours.

I still made it.

You seem to have pretty strong ground, and for you not to get in you must really be overlooked in my opinion.

As for not liking Charlottesville, I would argue against that. The difference between New York (at least in the City) is that over there is loud and fast paced, you are always doing something with time right on top of you. There’s ton’s of people and everything is just moving at such a fast pace.
Personally when I came down here to UVa, everything was a little slower. There are still ton’s of people and there’s still a lot, and I mean A LOT to do here, but the pace is slow. You have time to breathe, which is always nice considering we’re all human beings. It’s all going to depend on your type of personality.
