Does anyone know where i can find some sort of website or something so that I can check, how many hispanics applied, and how many hispanics got accepted.

Another thing, i want to know is, are there any hispanics who applied and/or got accepted. Can you give me like the basic information of your transcript so i can get an idea? And if you got accepted or rejected?
( I know i'm asking alot :( )

Btw, what do you think is the minimum SAT that i should get to get accepted to idk UVA/ Va Tech/ William & Mary?

BTW my GPA is 3.5 about to be 3.7 this year

For W&M and UVA you are going to need a pretty good SAT score to make up for the GPA. In general your GPA isn’t that bad but W&M and UVA are VERY hard to get into.

Good luck finding answers to your questions

Being qualified, gives you a chance to be taken into consideration. Be qualified and hispanic, then that might give you the final push. Its two hours until I find out (already got likely letter and SEAS packet), I’m both hispanic and qualified. Lets see if I get in.

well here it is:
Dear Mr. Hernandez:
Congratulations on your offer of admission to the University of Virginia! We acknowledge your achievements and express our confidence in your continued success. On behalf of the Admission Committee, it is my pleasure to extend this offer of admission to you. We have mailed you an official letter with important enclosures which you should receive shortly.

If you have applied for Financial Aid, Award information will begin being posted to the Student Center within a week of your Admission notification.
Stop whining about affirmative action. If you knew your history, you would know why it came into being. Without regulation, institutions cannot be trusted to “do the right thing” when it comes to racial equity. If they could, we wouldn’t have had the need for Brown v Board, right? Or Brown v. Board II because no one was complying with the original…We would have had no need for historically black colleges. Yes, in a perfect world, we would all be race blind. Go explain that to entire generations of African Americans in Virginia who didn’t have a public school education because there were no schools for them to attend. Literally. I am tired of some people on this site making it seem as though they are being personally denied their rights by URM’s. I feel proud that UVA has taken steps to reverse Virginia’s disgraceful record of racial discrimination by attracting a diverse student body. And BTW, my African American and Latino friends here are quite brilliant.

minorities should be held to the same standards as majorities. i know they’ve been through a lot in history but honestly it really isnt fair.

like for UVA for example, a caucasian needs insane scores and grades to get in while im sure the bar is lower for minorities…like i just look through the list of acceptances and the scores for minorities and first gen are lower than that of caucasian nonfirst generation applicants…

First generation students are generally poor and thus cannot afford to take SAT prep and hire admission consultants to write their essays, an advantage that kids whose parents have JDs and PhDs could have.

yea i can understand first gen i guess but there arent really any first gens where i live, but minorities shouldnt get that much of an edge over caucasians
