History/Social Studies Requirement for Admission

So i'm on collegeboard and it says that 2 units of social studies are required, and 4 units of history and social studies are recommended. Basically, I don't know what the difference is. I took World History for 9th and 10th grade, and next year I'll be taking US History. Senior year I would usually have to take economics and political science for one semester each, but I took college now classes that fulfilled those requirements.

Those are the only history/ss classes my school has. Do I meet the requirements or not?

Yeah you’re all set. 2 units of social studies means basically two complete years of a social study, which can be history, economics, political science, and I think even psychology.
