Ok...so on collegeboard I just saw that it says 4 high school history units are required for admisison. Does this mean one class a year? Because due to scheduling issues, I was unable to take a history class this year but supplemented it with another core class (IB Music) to even out to five core classes. Will I not even be considered for admission because I only have three history units?? Thanks!

You’re fine. You’ll be woefully unprepared if you make the mistake of letting College Board provide what you assume to be the definitive answer to your questions regarding individual colleges.

From NYU’s website:

“Since our applicants come from a broad range of high schools from around the United States and many foreign countries, it is difficult to recommend a single course of study that would maximize your chances of admission. However, we would expect your preparation to include the following: four years of English with a heavy emphasis on writing, 3-4 years of history/social studies, 3-4 years of mathematics, 3-4 years of a laboratory science, and 2-3 years of a foreign language. Please note that these are minimum requirements for consideration. Students most competitive for admission will exceed these minimums. International students should be completing a program of study that would qualify them for admission to selective universities in their own country.”

Awesome, thank you so much for your help!

Don’t worry about it. I have 2 1/2 credits of history (max my school offers) and I got in ED.
