I’ll be attending Amherst this fall as a first-year student. Recently…pimples have been popping up on my face. I’ve learned that one must avoid staying up if he/she wants to cure the pimples. I know college life can be strenuous, so I’m asking this only to get myself a little more prepared. How much sleep do you think, based on your experience, can an Amherst student get on average? What do students stay up late for? Too much workload, too many activities, too much social life, procrastination, or any other? Do I have any chance of avoiding staying up? (so that the pimple problem can be solved or will not worsen? lol)

I’m going to say that you should see your doctor for a topical treatment, rather than looking at sleep habits. That would be much more effective at addressing your issue.
