Involved in research club for four years. Mentoring students in the club for one year.
Research Assistant at local university in environmental science. Working on invasive plant species; mentor has given me permission to start my own publishable research project. As soon as i think of what i will do it on, I'll start it.
Research Assistant at another local university at a neurophysiology lab. Working with crabs and trying to manipulate neuronal functioning to learn about how the network of the neuronal system operates.</p>

<p>Started Debate in school. We have been doing fundraiser to get the club off the ground. We raised only $50.lol We need to do more. Any ideas? We're doing a coffee fundraiser right now. It's not going too well.
We have been doing public policy debates and have been learning concepts to debate. Very involved with this club. Hope to enter regional/state competitions if we get the money. I need ideas!!!!!</p>

<p>Captain of Academic team. Placed semifinalists in one competition, albeit a very easy competition. I hope that doesn't degrade the value of the title of semifinalist, as colleges have no way of knowing the relative ease of the competition lol
Also placed quarterfinalists in a competition in a school that's pretty well-known. Rather not say it. I am very dedicated to this club. I have attended almost every competition. I spend more than 5 hours per week (sometimes 10 hours in a week) in this club. That may not seem like alot but on top of other **** that i do, that's pretty involved.</p>

<p>I also have about 150 volunteer hours. I was a camp counselor at a camp for which i was a camper for 6 years. I think this also adds to the dimension of dedication i maintain in my activities. What y'all think?</p>

<p>I’d be absolutely floored if you didn’t get into Villanova. =) And you also have a good shot at Duke, I think. You seem to have some great stats. However, I do agree with opendoorss, any school like Yale is totally unpredictable.</p>

<p>I also took Advanced Psych courses at State university. I took Abnormal and Personality Psychology. I got A’s in both Courses. Note that you need AP credit to be able to take these classes as high school students</p>
