How about just no smelly stuff. Almost all of it gives me an immediate headache. Many people are chemically sensitive to an even greater degree.
Yea I think extra tip is good.
Iāve gone to my hairdresser for a long time. People bring her candles as they know that she likes them.
Sheās very easy though. Gifts of liquor sheās always up for.
Cash is king though.
Nest candles are way too strong for me. I like soy candles as they donāt trigger my allergies.
Gift card to a favorite (of theirs) restaurant?
I too just do extra tip for the holidays. I have been going to my person for a long time, and I know sheās had a hard time since the start of COVID. Her business hasnāt fully recovered.
Just wanted to mention the Thermopop is a less expensive option to the Thermapen. Still a great thermometer and all the fun colors though!
Iāve been going to her for a few years now as my other one was retiring. She is a
Delightful Vietnamese woman probably in her late 40s?
Not in this house. The scents are really not something we can deal with for any reason.
Iām also very cautious to avoid scents. They trigger bad allergy attacks and worse for all 4 in our household plus my SisIL.
I prefer giving gift items, but with inflation and the uncertain economy, I think this is the perfect year to give cash to service workers.
What do you gift to aides? My mom has 4 aides who are with her on a rotating basis to provide 24/7 coverage. In the past we havenāt done anything but sheās been with them for awhile now.
Never mind, H says no gifts, but we will continue to take out the caregiver when we take out mom, to eat or shop or whatever.
Iām guessing they would all appreciate a card thanking them for caring for your mother, as well as a monetary gift.
If they come from an agency they probably canāt take money from you directly but in my experience if you send a card with check to the agency in their name they do get it (based on thank you notes we got).
If you know that someone does like candles D and I love the ones from Brooklyn Candle Company.
So I just came across a āpuzzle rentalā company that does gift cards! Several people in my family are avid puzzlers, but puzzles can be expensive and take up a lot of storage space. This company is like Netflix (back in the day with DVDs)āyou pay the fee and then you choose your puzzle. When youāre done, you send it back and they send you a new one. So gift cards to this company it is!
Thanks, CC. I ordered the Aerogarden (plus a āsalsaā pod set) for my daughter and a thermopen for her boyfriend. iām not sure was the one you all recommended as it was only $14, but I figured it was worth a try.
Also just got an Aerogarden for my brother and his wife. On sale on the company website, plus another 10% with HOLIDAYS code. Win.
I bought an aerogarden for DSās in-laws last year along with pods, and they loved it. They āplantedā with our (shared) granddaughter and were able to watch them grow.
Has anyone seen any ready to drink cocktail gift sets?
Last year I got our son an On The Rocks gift set from Costcoā¦it had 6 small bottles of different cocktails
I spent some time looking for a good mixers set, or could have gone with ready to drink also. Didnāt find any I liked that were available. I finally bought something from Bed Bath and Beyond, but I donāt think itās high quality.
