holistic admissions at UCLA

I don't know if having holisitc admissions is good or bad for me because i'm an asian. I think that because of holistic admissions they will look even more for people who stand out, and will look less at the GPA. Since there are less people who get 2200 or above, than people who get 4.2's, will getting a 2200 help me get in more than the previous years?

a holistic approach means they look less at your numbers and more at your personality. that means that BOTH sat's and gpas will be considered less. so basically, if your essays kicked ass, and you have decent gpa and scores, youre fine.

thanks can someone explain more about how holistic admissions work?

just incase you haven't taken a look at the link yet..
