How holistic is Dartmouth? I have a great rank, unique extra-curricular activities, stellar essays, but my SAT isn't the greatest. Do they look at the overall picture of an applicant?
how holistic does Dartmouth look at an applicant?
in comparison to Brown and Cornell, which would look most holistically?

I think a weak SAT score will not kill your chances. I see Dartmouth as the most “well-rounded” Ivy. The students seem to love many things, and a low score should not be too detrimental. Having said that, your score should be reasonable (you should feel uncomfortable if it’s below 2000 imo). Good luck!

if i’m at 2030 is that reasonable?

I’d say your score is something you will have to make up for in your application, and it certainly will not help you. But given the school’s pride in admitting people and not machines, I think your score is not a sure denial. You will need other things that make you truly stand out.

“holistically” is a code word, it means they handle certain people one way and other students another way.
harvard is facing a lawsuit over this.
