There's been much discussion on this forum in the past about the "best" schools for film majors. Today's Hollywood Reporter (a film industry trade paper) has an article spotlighting 12 film schools "that represent good investments for aspiring industry players of all types." ("Head of the Class" by Noel Murray, pgs. 11-14.) Unfortunately, the article doesn't appear to be posted on their website, so you'll have to find a hard copy to read it.

For the record, the schools the Reporter considers to be "good investments" are the AFI Conservatory, American University, Boston University, Cal Arts, Columbia University, Loyola Marymount, NYU, Northwestern, RISD, UCLA, USC, and UT - Austin.
