<p>Yes, the story about the Coconut Grove is true. 492 deaths there (capacity was 460–there may have been 1000+ people in the building). </p>

<p>There have been a few fires in the Boston area that have traumatized the population for years and years. The Coconut Grove is one, the Station nightclub fire in RI around 2003 was another (100+ deaths in that one). There was also the cold storage warehouse fire in Worcester in 1999 that took the lives of 6 firefighters.</p>
