I love the cover you chose. That was one of my favorites from the ton of suggestions

This is the light I ended up choosing, despite thinking I wanted a round one, this one mimics the table shape, the room shape, the cabinet shape, and arrives in a few days

Next buy is a new bed cover, likely a coverlet (thin quilted bedspread) for the queen bedroom, in a southwest theme, here are the options if any one has any yay/nay comments. This a a vacation rental, nearish to the Grand Canyon & by the Navajo Nation, so random comments from a wide assortment of people actually is pertinent:

I love that!

Love the chandelier! In my search, I ruled out ones of that shape, based on your criteria.

With the queen bed coverlet, I thought you wanted it to have purple in it. That really limited the search when I did it, and I saw many Southwest type quilts that I ignored when most did not have purple in it.

Of the coverlets you just posted, they are all nice, but I like this one a lot:

My vote! Love these colors and it’s fun.

You’re right, the twin needed purple to coordinate, now I am tryin to broaden my horizons and not be so self-limiting, which is not easy, I don’t adore a lot of the colors I am finding, but am aiming for ending up with that southwest feel so trying to be, um, brave.
Same with the light, I saw the one I loved, then it was a shade not glass, nothing else was perfect, though many were nice. This one was the other one I was struggling to choose between:

This is more of getting opinions, less looking for something specific. My powder room has a strange footprint, nothing I can do about it because of where it is in the house. I have a teeny pedestal sink (20” wide) that has a lot of wear and no storage. The wall at the back is 25” but it is 35” the entire width to the door jamb. My options are: a 24” vanity and extending the countertop to the wall but leaving the floor open below, a custom cabinet that is made to fit the space, or another small pedestal. Thoughts?

That’s my vote too!

My vote is for a custom cabinet to fill the space. I’m just not a fan of pedestal sinks.

Custom, cuz will fill the space and make room look larger

If you have overnight guests using it, I could see the benefit to having more countertop. If a custom piece is too expensive, or causes too long a time delay, you could do the 24" vanity, then the countertop the entire width, they can do any shape and could install some sort of support along that weird wall & then you tuck a little trash can in that odd space?
If storage is a need and you don’t have any issues getting the custom piece made on your timeline, then, yes, fill the space.

Check out Ikea. We have a super weird powder room and we were able to find a stock shallow depth vanity w/storage that works great in the space. I upgraded the door knobs to make it look a bit more high end. You can also get a small corner sink with storage as well. There are some wonderful looking options out there.

Love that idea! Sadly, our nearest IKEA is 3 hours away and in another state. :-1:
