Hi all! I'm new to this forum, so I hope this topic is posted in the correct area! Anyway, I am homeschooled, in my Junior year in highschool, and am worried about getting letters of recommendation. One of the colleges I was looking at said I need three letters of recommendation, from the Principal, a Teacher and another adult not related to me. The third isn't a problem, however, I've never recieved academic help from anyone outside of my parents. So my question is, can my parents write letters of recommendation for me as teacher and principal? Thanks a million for the help!!! Sorry for any spelling errors hehe! :)

They can’t write LORs for you. You’ll have to see about substituting some other adults. Call the school and ask what they recommend. You won’t be the first home schooled they’ve seen.

You might find the homeschooler’s subforum useful, too (under precollege).

Have you taken any courses at community college? Or a summer program? You’re in a bad way if you can’t get objective evaluations.
