Home Schooling and *High School*

Hello Everybody!!! :D
i'm currently in 8th grade, and is homeschooled. just got a question to ask ya.

i'm planning to go to a private boarding high school next year, but how am i going to fill in for extra curriculars and such? school activities? i don't go to a school! waht should i do??

extra-curriculars can be things like a part-time job, or any community service/voluntary work you do. or maybe a sport you play or a musical instrument or something like that. school activities - along the same lines, i imagine.

anyway, don't worry about it, i go to a private boarding school, and i know a couple kids who were homeschooled, so i think you'll be fine. :)

I made sure to have lots of volunteering accomplished before I applied to boarding school so I seemed 'normal' because a lot of adults still have the conception of homeschoolers being antisocial deliquents...sadly. Just push the 'self study so i'm more motivated' spiel and you should be just as competitive as anybody.

oh i see. i think these might help in that case:
1. i play golf.
2. i tutor a girl and get paid
3. i'm starting art
4. and for volunteering credits...i went to a beach clean up once. they said they'll send me my certificate, but i still didn't get it..that's about it
5. i'm interested in computer graphics design...i designed newsletters and name cards for my parent's business and such.

thank you everybody!
