Homeschooled high schooler trying to pursue computer science

I’m in high school and want to pursue computer science in college, and have been trying to make homeschooling work. I’ve wanted to get in touch with any other college bound homeschoolers on their process.

Currently, I’m trying to compile a year 9-12 curriculum and find things such as college test prep courses. For college bound homeschoolers, what was your curriculum like to prepare for admissions? What resources did you use/buy, such as curriculum sets and college prep courses? Where did you go to find assignments, with resources to help grade them? Or did you rather use an accredited program? Which one did you use and did colleges accept it? I’ve heard stories of students who took accredited schools that weren’t official and ended up losing credits or failing to be accepted by admissions, but I was wondering if there’s anyone here that did go to an accredited online school and was capable of being accepted by admissions.

Who will be your homeschool teacher? What state do you live in? Are you an international student? (These will determine the laws you need to comply with. If you are an international student, the answers to your questions will not match what US students require.)

Your post is confusing. What grade are you currently in? If you are ready in high school, I’m not sure why you would need to compile 9th-12th grade curriculum since it sounds like at least 9th grade has been completed??

Stanford Online High School, Johns Hopkins CTY, and PA Homeschoolers are popular options.
Attending Stanford OHS full time is a little different from homeschool since you have graduation requirements to meet. Outside of those requirements people take more courses in their subject(s) of interest. OHS has a very good track record for college admissions (see https://ohs.stanford.edu/college-acceptances). The homeschoolers (not full time) who take other courses elsewhere and not through a diploma-granting program also have a good track record. In past years they have gone to colleges like Stanford/Ivies/CMU CS.
For CTY there are teachers for the online courses. You can ask them questions and they will grade your written work. A lot of homeschoolers use CTY but not exclusively.
I have heard good things about PA Homeschoolers but have not used it myself. I have also heard of K12, Laurel Springs, and GWU Online High School. I don’t know much about them though.

I am curious if you came up with a good plan as my son will be homeschooling high school and is also interested in pursuing computer science.

You may want to go through a course like https://cs10.org/ on your own to see how interested you are in CS.
