Homeschooled kid doing AP?

I’m homeschooled due to scheduling conflicts (athlete). So I’d like to be competitive for colleges and I was looking at AP exams, but I have a few questions. if anyone here is homeschooled plz help out!

  1. how do i actually sign up & everything. im in europe so Im not sure how to sign up because I think AP is an American thing
  2. is it even worth it? because APs cost money for one and also bc Im homeschooled i will basically be self-studying for all of them
