Homeschooler with extenuating circumstances

Hello, my name is Joy and i have a rather unusual story, but i want to know what my chances are to getting into Cornell.
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 8th grade that was unresponsive to medication. I took the COOP in 8th grade to see if i could get into the local private high school and got second place out of about 500 girls who took the exam. I went to that school for about 3 months before it became clear i was too ill. We were told by my doctors that i wouldn't make it past high school due to complications with my liver. My parents pulled me out of that school and began homeschooling me. My condition deteriorated over the course of 2 years, during which i spent more time in the hospital than at home, and i had 3 surgeries. The final surgery seemed to fix most of the life threatening problems, but i'm still rather ill and on disability.
After that last surgery when it became clear that i was going to live past high school, i began to try to get my life back together. Since i was so behind, my parents decided to have me take an extra year to complete high school. I took on more courses and studied for the NYS Regents. I took 5 in one week and these were my scores.
US History and Government: 98
Global: 97
English: 94
Integrated Algebra: 87
Geometry: 87

Now, i'm studying to take the SAT and the SAT II's in Biology and Literature in the fall. I took the practice test from collegeboard that was automatically graded and got a 2100 with a 12 on the essay. However, with studying i'm hoping to get over a 2300 The practice tests for the Subject Tests have me scoring above a 700, but i think i can get over 750, at least on the Lit.

Here are my courses from high school
Gr 9: English, Physical Science, Algebra 1, World Literature, Keyboarding and Shakespeare
Gr 10: Geometry, English, Biology, American Literature, World History.
Gr 11: Art History, Health, English, Spanish, Algebra 2 and Trig, US History and Government, Chemistry
Gr 12 (planned): Economics, Precalculus, English, Spanish 2, Physics, Creative Writing, Psychology (with AP exam at end of year)

For extra curriculars, i volunteer weekly with the Ronald McDonald house, I did a workshop last year with my local library that totaled over 90 hours in one summer, and I'm active in running a local chapter of a Nerdfighter group.

I know my courses for 9th and 10th grade are really light, but I was in the hospital. What do you guys think my chances are of getting into Cornell? If not Cornell, then which colleges would be a good fit for me, keeping in mind i want to major in English with a Creative Writing focus.

Thank you so much!

I can’t tell you what your chances with Cornell are, but if you want to go into Creative Writing, definitely try for Kenyon! It’s the school John Green went to and its crewri program is supposedly pretty good. I’ve also heard UVA has a pretty good one.

Also, you should apply for some creative writing contests, just to show some awards.

After researching regents, yours look really good. Definitely take a few SAT IIs!

If you feel like chancing me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1538851-chances-brown-usc-etc-will-chance-back.html

DFTBA!

You have a great chance :)
