Those are the only ways someone can get by without doing homework on Saturdays?

I don’t do homework Friday nights and don’t kill myself with it on Saturdays. I mentally just can’t do homework on Fridays and work on Saturdays until about 8pm. After that it’s a majority of my Sunday. So I’m somewhere in the middle of the weekend homework spectrum.

Do you have a job? Are you doing research?

Seems we’re in the same boat, Vlad. I do my weekend homework on Sunday or even Monday, since I never have anything due before 11:59PM on Mondays. I don’t really have any long papers in my classes. The biggest parts of my grades for my classes are exams and group projects. If you don’t suck at time management, it’s pretty easy to start early on a group project so that you’re not cramming it all into a few weekends.

tl;dr I can’t remember the last time I did homework on a Saturday

I don’t have homework on Saturdays. I actually don’t have homework that takes more than 1 hour almost any night. That doesn’t mean that I have an easy major or that I’m slacking. My courses focus on understanding and studying if you need that time. Most “homework” is optional, and you only do it if you need the help. If I do have mandatory homework, I do it the night that it is assigned. (I also maintain a good GPA, an internship, and job.)

But on the other hand, doing homework on a Saturday doesn’t make you anything negative. You simply have a different style of coursework or a different learning style.

This all depends on the person, and does not reflect on major difficulty, lack of social life, etc.

I don’t typically do homework on Saturdays. It would be beneficial if I did, but I like to take that one day to relax and not do anything school related. Friday and Sunday are both packed with homework/studying, as are Monday- Friday.

Some people are extremely efficient workers and don’t need to do homework on the weekends- they get it done during the week. I, however, and most other people I know are not that efficient and have to do work on the weekends.

I don’t think this is very fair. Usually I save Sunday to be a full homework/laundry day, but depending on someone’s schedule, it’s very possible to not have much, if any, work on the weekends. For example, let’s say your classes are all in the morning and you’re done by 1 or 2pm. That gives you at least 9-10 hours every single day to get homework done. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable or uncommon option for many people.

I felt that doing homework on the weekends definitely made weekdays more manageable because I was less swamped in work.

Totally depends on the major. For my French major, we HAVE to study EVERY day, (otherwise we wouldn’t be efficient with the language) and we have assignments that are due on Fridays and quizzes on Sundays, so doing work on the weekend is kinda required, both by force and necessity. :)

I just study when I need to. I don’t go by a set schedule. Self-discipline helps. You gotta study? Do it. You don’t? Don’t.
