Honest advice is needed! :)

I have been looking at colleges but am having trouble figuring out if I have any chance of getting in to them due to my lack of AP Classes. In my high school only juniors and seniors can do AP classes and currently I am a junior but am not taking any. I might be doing AP Gov. during the second semester but I don’t know if I can handle it. My high school is really rigorous and competitive.I have a 4.0 gpa and I got a 28 on the ACT.I will be full pay so I can afford any college I get into but the only problem is my lack of AP classes. I have compiled a list of colleges I would love to get into but I feel like I cant because of my not taking AP classes. They are American U, Babson, Bentley, Boston College, Boston U, Bryant, College of the Holy Cross, Elon, Fairfield, George Washington, Gettysburg, Lehigh, Marist, Miami U, Northeastern, Providence College, SMU, Tulane, U Miami, U Richmond, Villanova, Wake Forest and Washington and Lee. Please be honest with me if you don’t think I can get into any of them or have any other suggestions.I am going to do 3 AP classes next year if that will make up for anything.I am a legacy at Tulane and Boston College. I am open to any school with a maximum of 18,000 people and want to either study business or accounting. I am more on the shy side so big schools aren’t really my thing. I love the feel of small liberal arts colleges but lots of them do not offer business, which is why I love Washington and Lee. On my list I also have a lot of “pre-professional” schools because a lot could change in a year and I want to have my options open. I guess I am more on the conservative side of things but am not extremely conservative but not liberal. A really important aspect of a college to me is safety, I have watched a lot of TV shows such as Law and Order, Criminal Minds and CSI which has made me really cautious, which is why I prefer a smaller campus but am still open to larger ones as long as they are safe. I appreciate honesty and advice if you care to give any!

There are many colleges on your list (Marist, Providence, Fairfield, Elon, Bentley, Bryant, Gettysburg) that you have a realistic shot of acceptance with your 28 ACT and 4.0 from a competitive hs, even if you don’t take a lot of APs. And if you can raise your ACT 2-3 pts and take a few APs, you would be a legit contender for all on your list.
Good luck

I would try to get your act up to a 31+ for some of those top schools. It makes the 4.0 look even better. I would recommend taking AP Gov for the second semester of this year and taking 4+ AP classes senior year. Even if you get a B in a few of those classes, it looks good because you challenged yourself. (Good luck with Tulane, I just got my acceptance a few weeks ago and I am also a Legacy).

Thanks for the suggestions!Any more colleges that you think I would be a good fit for or any that I have a zero percent shot at need to completely eliminate?
