Have you guys thought of getting your tests rescored? maybe it was a mistake

raises hand

Jallidalli: Sadly… it probably wasn’t a mistake…for me… i wish I got at least a 2… now how do I face my teacher? AP physics c e&m… what about the rest of ya?

I made a 1 on Calculus AB…the worst part is I’m going to have the same teacher for AP Physics C next year…

Lol a 1 is just bad.

Practical: gee I didn’t know that! =P JK
Panda: I feel really sorry for you. I’m so scared of my physics teacher -he is the football coach.

are you guys also going to be rising seniors? If not, you can try to retake it. I retook my 3 AP Euor this year and got a 4 so it’s definitely possible. I’ve heard of people retaking and getting 5’s.

I don’t understand how someone who tries in school can get a one. If you go to the class and listen the whole year, without doing extra studying, you’re at least bound for a three.

I declare this place a cone of comfort. no criticism allowed, because I might be joining in a couple of days haha

About the trying thing, I had a “B,” and still got a 1.

I know someone who had a 103 in the class and got a 2. So far, no one has passed the exam in my class. We simply weren’t taught.

I’m just going to take the CLEP exam.

JalliDalli: Lol…mine wasn’t a mistake.

I’m pretty sure the essay scorers were laughing out loud and reading my essay to everyone.

Ok, I didnn’t get a one or 2 or whatever but it’s really bothering me how people feel that they can just put others down because of their test scores. If it’s a stupid comment made to make people feel bad (and perhaps make your mediocre self feel good) KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. In this thread, it is directly related to LoseYourself and Practical. I hate to call people out but it has been bothering me for quite a while.

DavidTheNerd: for physics I had an A for the first semester (mechanics) of physics C and got a 2. for the second semester (e&m) i had a B and got a 1 XD

for APUSH, in the class I got nearly a 100 or 100 can’t remember but I got a 2 on the exam. xD then again we didn’t have a good teacher for APUSH at all. we rarely got our work back. she doesn’t truly grade work and seems to just throw out grades if you were a good student to her and turned in your hw half completed you still got a 100 on the assignment…

LoseYourself: Not everyone is blessed with amazing AP teachers in every subject, sadly.

I dunno… I’m very much 'do well based on the teacher teaching the class" type. My physics teacher is very intimidating so I’m so scared to ask any questions plus physics is just plain a hard subject for me. APUSH well i just described how stuff is in THAT class.

But take my AP calc teacher. She is AMAZING and really taught us… supported us and was always open to help us. I got a 4 this year on the exam.

JalliDalli: Do you recommend me retaking APUSH? I’m a rising senior… I’m not sure about retaking physics… physics isn’t exactly my thing however… I guess i couldn’t retake my one in e&m… I have nothing to lose. XD

For retakes as a senior - just base it off of what you can get credit for, since you wouldn’t have the scores in time for college admissions anyway.

^Good point on credits but I thought colleges don’t consider AP scores for admissions? Only that you took a rigorous class.

Most schools don’t explicitly state what they do with them, but it seems that good scores just help you a little more.

Crud! What will colleges think when they see A in class and 2 on exam? or B in class and 1 on exam?

^You don’t have to report those scores…

hmm… is it better to show I took the test rather than chickened out? I know the quote says they consider it to be neutral but…
