I am just kinda curious here how big of a deal making alot of money in your job is to you guys. Frankly, I wouldn't enter a career field that didn't at least secure for me an upper-middle/upper class lifestyle. So, money is almost a deciding factor for me. Needless to say, I am considering a career in investment banking or consulting =D.

lol I’m like the opposite. I intend to major in History/Art History/some other humanities thing, and have no clue what I’m going to do for a career. I’m pretty content now with the average financial situation I’m in, so I don’t really consider it too important.

I don’t care how much money I’ll make as long as I have a clean apartment/house and regular access to meals. (neat freak?)
I’m more concerned if I’ll be happy with my career. <– performing arts major or something similar :)

Hmmm… I guess that it’s somewhat important to me. I want to be a lawyer, but it doesn’t really have anything to do with money, since, ideally, I would like to work for the ACLU.

I’m a cheapskate, so I don’t need to make too much money. However, I don’t want to worry about money. I’m looking at software engineering, actuary-ing, accounting, and IT consulting.

Not really important money won’t make me very happy.

Come from a middle class family, a bunch of sib’s, don’t have the option to attend privates unless I want major debt.

Money’s VERY important to me. I want to be a doctor, comfortable enough to lead a affulent lifestyle and give most of it to my folks.

Becoming well-off and sharing it with my parents would be the best thing that could happen, nothing would make me happier.

Plus, doctors have some real job satisfaction:)

I would like to be affluent, yeah, but if I find a job I really love I will make sacrifices.

Scale of 1-10, 7. I’ve been denied a lot of opportunities because my family can’t afford them. So if I ever have a child I don’t want him/her to have the same fate as me.

Very important. Having absolute financial security and being able to pay for whatever I want would be nice.

I forgot to mention that I don’t need to make boatloads of money…but as long as I have enough money to travel, have a decent house and buy nice stuff that i want (shopping sprees :D) then i’m all good :D

I love money. I want tons and tons of $$. I want to be able to buy things. Money is the third most important thing in my life. I WANT MONEY.
- Love
- Health
- Money

Money is goooooooooood. :]

I’m fine not making much, as long as I’m enjoying my career. I’ve been with 25K since I was a child. My mother has never made much more, and it’s just the two of us. I’m fine living lower middle class. I am also a cheapskate, who can save and budget well, so if all goes as planned, a lot of my salary won’t be spent, but saved/invested. I just want to ensure that when I have a family, there is enough money to support all of us, and enough saved in case of an emergency.

As long as I have enough to travel (I want to see the world) I’m happy. I do not buy much, so I doubt I’ll need a large salary to be able to take a short vacation every year.

^ Join the Navy, see the world.

Enough to live in NYC comfortably while still saving some of my income.

Also, how is important is money? :p

^^ It’s just a shame that the world is mostly water ;)

wealth is moderately important to me…i want to be able to enjoy “the finer things” but i also want to live a humble and modest life without being greedy or arrogant. however, as a female i also want to be able to calmly support a family and maintain a healthy marriage on top of my own career. hopefully an attractive lad will $tumble into my life when i get older? ;)

I money love. As you can see, money comes first.
