Do colleges count the points you get added to your grade for taking honors and AP classes?
So if you were in A.P. Biology and you got a 90 but since your high school give you 7 points for taking an AP course they give you a 97, and then colleges just see it as a 90, or do they see it as a 97?

My understanding, and it really is just my understanding, is that many colleges -- particularly the more selective ones -- do their own weighting. In other words, the college might "re-weight" the grades based on their own standards of what a 90 in AP biology means.

Other schools, particularly large "by the number" schools will simply take the grade right off of your transcript. But I'm assuming that if the HS officially weights it AP classes, then the transcript will reflect that and will report the grade as a 97 (weighted).
