My daughter is auditioning for college in a few months and has been working on La Pastorella delle alpi by Rossini as one of her songs. She is auditioning for our regional honor choir in a few weeks and would like to use that song. The audition requirements for the choir audition state that the repertoire must come from the 24 or 26 Italian Song Books or something comparable. Would this be considered comparable? Thanks.
This is not my forte. Maybe someone else knows.
I’m assuming she has a teacher and she/he should know the answer. Good luck to her on her auditions!
fyi There are SEVERAL reasons to stay within the rep that they recommend. Both the accompaniment and the level of difficulty for the singer might be problematic. Stick with the 24.
Thank you all.
