honors college chances

Just wondering if anyone could chance me for the honors college. Any input would be amazing.

-In-state
-GPA: 3.92
-ACT: 30
-Between AP Tests and Dual Enrollment, I should have about 22 credits as an incoming freshman.
-Arabic 101 and 102 Oakland Community college Junior year (Dual enrolled) (4.0)
-Arabic 210 and 202 UM-Dearborn Senior year (" ") (3.7)
-Comparative Govt 201 UM-Dearborn Senior year (" ") (4.0)

Essay will be QUITE good

UMich gave me 10k/yr. if that helps

Again, any input would be amazing

you have a pretty good shot at getting in.

My impression from the year my daughter got in is that the honors college is quite numbers driven. You will have a difficult time with a 30, the preferred level seems to be 32 and above. Those who I know to have gotten in below that level did not hear until well into the spring.

I think you're in. Honors is not that hard to get into.

seriously? I've been led to believe that honors has the acceptance rate of some ivys.

it does... kinda. the people in honors have the stats of some ivys.

What is honors college? I am OOS and didn't find anything about it on the admissions website...

Honors college allows you to live in South Quad (very nice housing) and take honors classes.

I'm just double checking: you can only be in honors if you're in LSA, right? You can't with engineering?

Hey I'm an out of state student (NY) I was accepted to the LSA in November and was wondering if I would be accepted to the Honors College or get any scholarship money...

GPA: 98.2 weighted
SAT: Verbal:680
Math: 720
SAT2: Physics:720
Math2: 710
Chemistry: 590 :(

President Schools Chapter of NHS and President of Science Olympiads Club. Varsity tennis, golf and soccer. 2 awards within sports...Intel Science Talent Search Participant...Quizbowl team member etc.

Any Idea of my chances for money or honors college?

Thanks everybody!!

^
what is your Unweighted gpa on a 4.0 scale.

it's like a 95% unweighted which should be a 3.8

o and i might add i got a 30ACT

and i have a weighted average because i am doing the IB diploma at my school which consists of 6 IB classes this year and more from last year and i am taking BC calc (the only ap my school offers)

Only LSA students can make honors.

zeee
if you write a very good essay, you likely get in. but without the essay, or with a weak one your chances are slim.
