We are heading to South Carolina for a tour and info session and have scheduled a visit with the Honors College. What should my dd expect during her appointment with the honors college? Will it be one on one or is it a group info session too? Couldn't find info on website. Thanks

We just returned form USC. It was an appointment with the counselor, myself and my mom.

Thanks kearbear - Was the discussion around anything specific? Was it mostly led by the counselor? My dd doesn’t know what she wants to major in so she is a bit concerned that this will be uncomfortable.

The meeting was very relaxed. We actually sat on a couch and she pulled up a chair. I want to major in International Business. It is very competitive and if I am accepted into the honors college I am also accepted into the International Business program. I was rather concerned before the meeting but afterwards felt really good. She assured me that they are there to make you transition into college easier. This is the only college I want to attend after my visit. This was college number 8. We were able to ask many questions but do not worry the consular has plenty to say and if you do not ask she will tell you everything you will need to know. I’m sure she has done 1,000 of these meetings. They really want you to succeed. The people are also so friendly. We did not know where we were going and a student saw us and came up to us and helped us when we were standing there looking confused , other were holding elevators for us, ect. ect. They are generally really nice at USC. We are from PA.

Thank you very much for information.
