So I've been accepted into the Honors College for the fall of this year! It seems like a nice way to be put into smaller, more personalized classes, especially on a campus as big as Albany's. Does anyone have experiences or advice (good or bad) regarding the Honors College?

I don't know if I'm going to Albany or not, I'm just trying to get a feel for the program :)

I personally have never joined the honors college because it’s not the kind of thing I like, but some benefits include special honors housing (while the rooms generally are better quality, it’s generally on State quad, a freshman quad, so you get all the party noise…), some classes reserve spaces for honors students. Somethign I consider a disadvantage of the program is that you have to write and honors thesis in your major to graduate, but I’m not much of a writer so it may not be a disadvantage to all. That’s the extent of my knowledge of the Honors program, though.
