Honors degree or Spanish minor?

I just finishing my freshman year as an electrical engineering student at the University of Utah. Because I have some free spaces (I earned my General Studies associates in high school, filling all my gen ed requirements) I started out trying to earn both a Spanish minor and an Honors student designation on my EE degree, but now that I’m getting into the major, I’m beginning to realize that I probably can’t complete both within 4 years.

Which of these two do think are more valuable after college? Honors college gives me an excuse to take more humanities courses and makes my engineering degree look more impressive, but I know having a Spanish minor is probably more applicable. I really love the classes I have taken for both of these, so I’m just wondering what other people’s thoughts are.

And, just fyi, I am leaning more towards doing the spanish minor, partly because I want to do a study abroad to improve my spanish.

Thank you!
