Can anyone speak to the quality of the honors program at the University of Tampa? I was accepted into it and offered a presidential scholarship ($11,000, kind of a big deal lol), but I'm wondering if it's as great as it seems? I haven't visited the school yet (and plan to do so), but seem to be finding mostly negative or mediocre feedback about the school in general.

I’m wondering this too. I was accepted into the Honors Program with the same scholarship. From what I’ve read about the Honors Program, it seems like the best perk is classes involved trips around the world. I’m planning on attending an honors student reception next month on campus… so I’ll let you know if I learn anything!

We visited with my son Dec 19-21st and we really liked it. It was a very welcoming homey vibe at the school. He got the same offer as yall and we accepted. The other perks of the honors program worth mentioning are the dorms, if you want the studious atmosphere and the intern programs specifically for honors. I have not read much positive on this site about UT and asked admissions about it, sadly he said the negativity comes from a few miserable students. He was a graduate and was able to give us first hand info. We also took the opportunity to talk to as many students as we saw. The clerk at our resort was going to NF and she raved about UT, said it had an excellent reputation. ALSO, just a couple words of wisdom from someone who has done it, don’t discount the world travel opportunities - more growing and learning is done culturally than in the classroom. I am 39 now and would LOVE to have those opportunities again - take full advantage! Good luck
