<p>I am a California resident and at the moment, I have applied to both the UCLA and University of Michigan Honors program. I recently heard heard that I was accepted to the program at Michigan, however have not heard from UCLA. From a purely objective standpoint, if that is possible, how is the UMich Honors program compared to UCLA (nonhonors) and even UCLA Honors?</p>
<p>My brother said that getting into Honors at UCLA is nice if you want a shorter line to see a counselor.</p>
<p>Don’t pay any extra money to go to Michigan when you have in-state at UCLA.</p>
<p>If you don’t get in the UCLA college honors as an incoming freshman then you can always apply as a continuing student after you have taken (i think) 12 units.</p>
