Do you think graduating with honors gives you an edge in getting jobs?

Also do you think graduating with honors would help you get into a better MBA program then someone who did graduate with honors?

Pleases share your experiences. Here is my background: I am a junior in a Business Program at a State University with a concentration in Finance. I am also in the honors program. I am consider drop it because I do not see the value in it. That why I want to know if its helped any?

Thanks

I decided on enrolling in the honors program next year for a few reasons…
a) Honors housing the first year; I wanted to be surrounded by kids who are serious about their studies instead of out partying all night…it’s not guaranteed there, but it’s more likely.
b) Priority registration for classes, that sounds pretty cool as well as some of the extra classes I can take
c) Free/Discount tickets to events; they boast musicals and operas and stuff…but in the fine print they include sporting events.
As for the likelihood of getting into a MBA program…Maybe. Personally, I think the “Honors” label makes any resume stand out…as long as its paired with a good GPA. In the end, it’s probably about GPA. Great GPA w/o honors triumphs sucky GPA w/ honors.

If you’re already in it, might as well stay. I almost wish I hadn’t done honors here…I’m not a fan of the stupid classes I have to take in order to stay in the program. But then again, I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t in the honors program with the scholarship and close knit group. I would’ve just sucked it up and gone to one of my expensive schools lol.

C is most important by far. do w/e will get u best GPA. period.
