Honors Program

Does anyone have personal experience in Honors? Does anyone know all the perks of being in it?
Thanks!

Check out Tulane University Honors Program website... and you might want to post on the Tulane Network on facebook to get more student responses...

The only perks really are that on occasion there are some pretty interesting classes that are restricted to Honors students, and also you graduate with honors. But obviously, honors classes, despite being more interesting, are more difficult, and you have to write a thesis to graduate, and also you have to (at least strongly encouraged to) attend regular meetings with fellow honors students. Oh and you have to maintain a GPA the minimum for which escalates every year (it's higher your Junior year than your Sophomore year, and so on). I was in it but dropped it, not because I didn't have the GPA but because I didn't have the time to attend the meetings or to write a thesis.

Thanks for the advise. I am looking at Honors at Tulane and at UGA. The Honors at Georgia is amazing. There are so many benefits, but... I still have a lot to think about. I love both cities. I like the size of Tulane better. I think Tulane has more prestige. UGA has great school spirit. I am rambling!! Any words of wisdom would be great!
