Honors section of Common App - should I put recent awards first or state awards?

I’ve gotten several awards, but I’m not sure which five to put on the common app.

National Merit Semifinalist (12th) (national)

College Book Award given (11th) (school)

Essay Scholarship Grand Prize (11th) (state)

Technology Student Association 2 Awards (11th) (regional)

Governor’s School Selection Honor (summer after 10th grade/11th grade) (state)

2nd place regional debate (10th) (district)

3rd place Technology Student Association award (state) (9th)

Citizenship Medal (state) (9th)

Generally, state awards are more impressive, but two of my state awards were from freshman year. I also want to go into engineering, and a lot of my awards aren’t for engineering specifically. So, I was thinking I might submit all my STEM awards for colleges where you have to apply to the college of engineering and then submit my most impressive awards for the other colleges.

Which 5 awards do you think I should put for the common app for engineering schools and which 5 for regular schools?

Although a national aware, if your SAT/ACT score is strong, I don’t see the benefit of putting down NMS status as the schools will already know you are strong in that front and thus, provides no further information to support your application.

Yeah, that’s true, my SAT is a 1600, so I don’t think NMS would matter. Do you think I should put my state awards on there, even if two of them are from freshman year?

Your top five, IMO, are:

Essay Scholarship Grand Prize (11th) (state)

Technology Student Association 2 Awards (11th) (regional)

Governor’s School Selection Honor (summer after 10th grade/11th grade) (state)

2nd place regional debate (10th) (district)

3rd place Technology Student Association award (state) (9th)
