I a junior currently in normal-level Spanish 4, and I am trying to decide what Spanish course to take next year. I can either take normal Spanish 5, or Honors Spanish 4. I have talked to the honors teacher, as well as students who took the class this year, and they say that Honors 4 is a MUCH different and more challenging class than normal level 4 or 5 (more Spanish literature, writing, not to mention that by senior year you have pretty much learned every grammar concept). However, I am not sure selective colleges will see it that way. My question is, will they look at the Spanish 4, Honors Spanish 4 sequence on my transcript and say, "This student just repeated the same class ," or will they say "This students took a more challenging class"? Thanks.
