1. does that count as an honors?
2. if so, what type? state/regional?</p>
<p>From very experienced high school counselors I was told not to include the book award on your common application other than for the college that gave it to you. Some colleges may interpret that award as meaning that you are more interested in the college that gave it to you and it may be looked upon negatively. </p>
<p>If you are going to list it then include it in honors and it would be school award since your school decides who will receive it.</p>
